Saviors of Earth: July 2016

Batman is the secret identity of Bruce Wayne. Witnessing the murder of his parents as a child leads him to train himself to physical and intellectual perfection and don a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his sidekick Robin and his butler Alfred Pennyworth, and fights an assortment of villains influenced by the characters' roots in film and pulp magazines. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers. He makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, and intimidation in his war on crime.

Alfred Pennyworth

Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's butler, he helps the Batman on many of his missions. He was hired by Bruce's father to work around the house but when Thomas Wayne and his wife died, he was passed on to Bruce.

Robin

Robin has long been a fixture as Batman's partner. The team of Batman and Robin is commonly referred to as the Dynamic Duo or the Caped Crusaders.

Batgirl

As Batgirl, Barbara Gordon has been described as one of the most popular characters. Barbara Gordon took numerous self-defense classes in judo and karate prior to her tenure as Batgirl and is described as being a star athlete. She has extensive skills with eskrima fighting sticks, small firearms and batarangs.

Nightwing

Nightwing was once Batman's first sidekick Robin, before going on to become Nightwing. Once he took up the mantle of Batman when Bruce was thought to be dead, but became Nightwing once again after the events of Flashpoint. He is a world class detective on par to the likes of Batman. He was rigorously trained by the Dark Knight in everything from escapology to criminology, fencing, stealth, disguise, and numerous other combat/non-combat disciplines.
